Our Full Fabrication Project Management Process

Our project management approach brings that obsession to the customer’s entire fabrication process. Here’s what that means:

Planning without compromise
Thermal-Vac’s in-house engineering team understands the requirements for achieving optimal outcomes at the most challenging stages of the manufacturing process: when components get joined. Then, working in coordination with the customer’s design team, we review plans to make the subtle (or not-so-subtle) adjustments needed to meet the customer’s specifications.

Guidance and oversight of machining
We work hand-in-hand with the machine shop to verify that the customer’s plans are executed with the downstream steps in mind. Most machine shops are great at their craft, but don’t know the detailed requirements for achieving an optimal brazed joint. We get nerdy with the folks running the lathes so they know exactly what to do.

Joining and treating
Brazing and heat treating are two of our specialities and a big reason we’re interested in the entire fabrication process. We ensure that components come into our shop accurately engineered and machined with joining in mind.

Quality control
Technology-driven inspection procedures developed to meet the aerospace industry’s requirements are also great for golf clubs, chrome bumpers, and corporate swag. Before hitting the truck, we perform a detailed analysis of every component to detect leaks, unwanted voids, distortions, and other imperfections.

Bringing it home with comprehensive logistics solutions
Transportation is a huge part of finishing projects on time and within budget. Gone are the days when reliable and cost-effective logistics services were available on every corner. Don’t sweat it. We’ll ensure components are shipped with quality carriers at every step, following procedures we know will protect the customer’s property.
